Xiyao Chen

Xiyao Chen is an artist, architect and researcher based in London. They often work against the grain, and against disciplines, across the expanded field of digital anthropology, queer ecology, moving images and sonic installations. They are currently nurturing an embodied practice that values care over extraction, challenging eco-social injustices by focusing on more-than-human interspecies kinships and the affective turn in ecology. In parallel with their practice, they are currently teaching participatory eco-social research at University of the Arts London and Royal College of Art in London.
