Kibandu Pello-Esso is a Togolese-Swedish spatial designer based in Stockholm. His practice is focused on spatial design research. He examines various typologies of spatialities, from well-developed urban public spaces to rural spaces. He is interested in nature/culture, modern/primitive, private/public dichotomies and in defining and redefining certain established notions of our common living spaces. He takes his starting point in current discourses and, through design as a method, articulates forms, spatialities which then allow us to get closer to these discourses. He is interested in micro-narratives and also in counter-narratives.
